4th Annual NCAA Squares Pool

It's that time again. March Madness is here and the 4th Annual NCAA Squares Pool is open on SpydeysWebb.com!  For those of you who have never played in this type of pool before you won't want to miss out.  For those back for more, it will be nice to see you again! Don't wait too long to buy your squares as they won't last long.

This pool is similar to a Super Bowl Squares pool, however, there is a winner for EACH game in the NCAA tournament, 63 winners in all!  Here's how it works at the NCAA Tournament Games on SpydeysWebb.com:

  • Each game in the NCAA tournament (excluding the play-in game) will have a single corresponding winning square
  • Horizontal numbers represent the last digit of the winning team's score
  • Vertical numbers represent the last digit of the losing team's score
  • For each game, the person who owns the square that matches the last digit of the winning and losing team's final score wins that game
  • The cost is $50 per square; pool value is $5000
  • Payouts progressively grow larger with each passing round:

    • 32 first round winners earn 0.5% of the pool, or $25 each
    • 16 second round winners earn 1% of the pool, or $50 each
    • 8 third round winners earn 2% of the pool, or $100 each
    • 4 fourth round winners earn 4% of the pool, or $200 each
    • 2 fifth round winners earn 8% of the pool, or $400 each
    • 1 final game winner earns 20% of the pool, or $1000
  • Numbers will be randomly drawn after all 100 squares are filled in
  • Each individual square has the same chance to win each of the 63 games (i.e. – a single square could win multiple games)
  • Winning square example:  Indiana 92, Duke 88; winning square = horizontal 2, vertical 8
  • Unlike football, there are NO bad numbers in basketball!  Every number has just as good a chance as any other number of being in the final score.
  • Send entry fees to Seth Sheridan the same day you request your square(s)
  • Squares will be considered SAVED only after payment is received. If the board is full, any unpaid square could be purchased by a paying player immediately. So get your money in.
  • So you'll know if I've received your payment, paid squares will be highlighted in the online Square Board.
I will also be doing a $5/entry NCAA Bracket Pool. Entries can be turned in after Selection Sunday, March 14th.  The Squares Pool adds an extra dimension to watching the tournament, so hurry and get your squares (they won't last long)! View the online Squares Grid on the SpydeysWebb NCAA Tournament Games link and respond to this email with the Row and Column coordinates of the squares you want!

I guarantee if you enter this pool you will be glued to your TV on Monday, April 7th to watch the National Championship game!

All updates for the board will be available nightly on my web site: www.spydeyswebb.com.
Keep up on the game and results throughout the tournament on the blog: spydeyswebb.blogspot.com.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Very cool squares pool Spydey. I found converting from bracket style to a squares game caught the interest of many who don't know anything about college B-ball. It's all dumb luck, but keeps your interest. This is my 15th year of running a pool, though only my second year squares style. I start getting emails about when the pool will start in early Feb. BTW, I have NEVER won a penny in any of my pools until this year!
Check me out @ March Madness Squares
Thx, Rob
