How could I be remiss in not mentioning the Washington Redskins who went into the Professional Football Hall of Fame yesterday in Canton? Darrell Green and Art Monk are two huge reasons why I'm a Redskins fan today.
I had always told myself I would be in Canton on the day that Monk finally was selected to be a HOFer. Waiting for Rowan took priority this weekend, so we missed it. But it will be just as much fun to take her to see their busts within the museum. Besides, it looks like my Redskin brethren covered for me!
The Redskins of the 80's created this Redskins fan...and these two were huge parts of that.
It may be the first week of August, but football season is here!
