Happy Olympic Friday! The Beijing Games kicked off this morning our time and it's going to be a sport filled two weeks. Got to get on the TiVo for the Equestrian events. Chicago Tribune has a nice layout of the TV schedule here, it's even in Eastern time though Chicago isn't. China's been waiting a long time for this event, some may say their whole existence has required a world class event like the Olympics. I can't imagine how different this place is from my visit in 1996. I'm going to need to go back some day... [Washington Post]
