Wednesday May 14th

The Dallas Stars appear done, running into the Red Wing buzz saw. Not showing up doesn't help matters. However, the local hockey team pulled off the comeback championship Monday night in 3 overtimes. Komets won 3-2 in game 7 after trailing in the series 3-1. The game didn't finish until 12:20AM, but the win soothed that late night. [Dallas Morning News & Journal Gazette]

The military junta in Myanmar (Burma) are truly not to be believed. They are still blocking aid to their citizens that need it after Cyclone Nargis. NY Times editorial has an idea that probably wouldn't work but interesting nonetheless. [NY Times]

This article about Super Rice was in the technology section of the NY Times. Here's a couple of links referenced in the article about using technology for the betterment of society...not preachy either.

Today in History: The hit TV series "Seinfeld" (links one & two) aired its final episode after nine years on NBC. And TV comedy hasn't been the same since... [IMDb.com & Wikipedia.org]

It's a sad day for Knut, I'm sure, but he'd be happy we're trying to do something for his brethren. [NY Times]
