Harder to keep up on daily reads. Here's some I've found over the last couple of days for a Week's Reads post...
Monday was Opening Day at Wrigley Field! Some changes were made to the old ballpark during the off season. Some you can see and some you can't. [Chicago Tribune]
Roger Ebert still can't speak after his surgery earlier this year. He's going to be back writing, but will not be appearing on his TV show anytime soon. Brooke and I have been TiVoing the show and it's been pretty good with Roeper and Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune or A.O. Scott of the NY Times filling in for Ebert. [Chicago Tribune]
DJ White named 2nd team All America and Gordon named 3rd team. So there's at least some good news coming from the IU basketball program. Granted, those two are gone come NBA draft time. [IUHoosiers.com]
Lon Kruger as the new IU coach? Late breaking today, but he appears headed to Bloomington to accept the job. Unless this is an amazing April Fool's joke, which would be classic. Here's his bio off Wikipedia. Say what you want about a lackluster hire, the dude is an absolute Purdue killer! Took down #1 seeded Purdue teams in 1988 and 1994. That can't be all bad for a new IU coach. Of course, he also coached at Illinois, pre-Webber, so not that bad!
