IU claims the rampant media reports that Sampson is gone are not accurate. It's only because they want to be the ones that 'break' the story. Who's running the asylum down there? This is freaking pathetic.
I became a Cub fan because of Ryne Sandberg and the '84 Cubs. I knew that everyday after school I could come home and watch them play. It helped they were actually winning that year! Those games were covered on Superstation WGN, and I could see them all. Now, there's even less games on the Superstation. Most are covered on the Comcast SportsNet channel in Chicago. Luckily I have satellite, but it's tough to see them change so much from WGN to cable. [Chicago Tribune]
