Friday May 15th

Rowan got Poppa Sheridan to give her some fruits during our movie night this week. That's her Great Uncle Ron checking out the scene. New three column look to the blog this week. I'm playing around with some html programming to get some of the sidebar widgets up toward the top and easier to view from week to week. Let me know what you think. As always, you need to hit the post title to go directly to the web page to actually view my html coding! <hint...hint>

The movie this week was Star Trek and it was awesome. I know I don't have many bad things to say about the movies we see. Why go to a movie that's bad, right? This one was one of the best built movies we've seen. From story, casting, history, and direction it's top notch. I'll have my review up on the main page sometime this weekend. It will be suggested you see this in the theaters! Lots of good summer flick trailers out now. We saw both Transformers and GI Joe last night. We love those summer blockbusters. You're always welcome to join us, Thursday nights seem to be our movie night. [IMDb.com]

Grandpa Cub game weekend is finally upon us. We'll head out early tomorrow morning for Rowan's first visit to the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field. The weather reports have been getting better as the week goes along, and after today's rainout they'll be playing tomorrow, no doubt. Rowan is excited. I'll have an amazing photo update on Sunday of our trip to Chicago and Rowan's visit with Aunt Shiloh, who's in the Fort this weekend.

Switched at birth...and finding out 56 years later. Can you imagine? [Atlanta Journal Constitution]

Obligatory Twitter link for this week, the celebrity Twitter crowd. I've seen them called the Twitteratti. [North County Times]

New Apple iPhone app allows you to email and walk, at the same time! [Apple iPhone Apps.com]

Golf courses are not part of the federal bailouts and they're taking a hit in this economy. However, my dad would recommend the Robert Trent Jones trail in Alabama if you got the time and money for a golf trip. [LA Times & Golf.com]

Anyone see the Celtics Big Baby hit the game winner last week in Orlando? While running back down court, he bumped into a kid. Kid's dad went off in the media and was being called out all over the place, especially from Michael Wilbon of PTI, for being a CryDaddy. Well, seems the dad caught himself and apologized for making a big deal out of basically nothing. Lesson learned. Bet the enjoyed Game 6 last night with that new attitude. [Washington Post]

I said last week that Christian should do some time lapse photography. Well, he wrote me this week saying his office already did it! They have their cool photography on the Brave blog. You'll recognize Christian pretty easily. I really like the part toward the end where they have the blue hats on. [Brave blog]
