Friday April 10th

Rowan loves balloons! As you saw in the video earlier this week, she can keep herself occupied with a nice balloon. She still has the one from Gus' birthday party at home and was banging it around yesterday while watching the Masters with me. I think the balloon was more important than the golf! Watching the Masters has given me some golf fever. May try to get out and hit it around on Saturday afternoon. Rowan's godfather, Dave, is coming up for the day so that sounds like a plan.

Cubs kicked off the new season in Houston on Monday night and ended up winning the series this week 2 games to 1. Our first visit to Wrigley is a week from Sunday! It's a night game, so the long underwear, stocking caps, gloves and jackets will be necessities. I'm hoping it stays in the 40's that night, but we'll see. If the wind's blowing in off the lake, we could have icicles in our beers!

IU's Eric Gordon has done well for himself with the LA Clippers this season. The Clippers are terrible, but he's getting more minutes and respect as the season moves along. [LA Daily News]

No movies this week, as we took it easy and stayed home. Missed Fanboys at the Cinema Center, so that goes on the rental list...only 3 weeks till Wolverine. [Official Sites]

One of the greatest bands ever, some say THE greatest, still hasn't released their library for digital download. Yep, the Beatles are taking it slowly to the iTunes, etc. realm. Their library will be digitally remastered though, so it could be very soon that you can get them online. [LA Times]
