Nice four day weekend ahead of me, so we'll get this week's blog articles out early. Check out Rowan up there! That was taken at the doctor's office on Monday morning. Great reports for her, 24" long and 14 lbs. Dr. Thomas couldn't be happier with her progress. As you saw on the photo update earlier this week, her baptism was a complete success...good times.
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow (or today or yesterday, depending on when you're reading this). We will be doing two this year with the Sheridans and the Taylors. It'll be a busy day for Rowan...might want to peruse this article on how to eat your Thanksgiving dinners with health in mind. [Miami Herald]
IU basketball took it on the chin in Hawaii this week. I don't think we're nearing this bad, but we're definitely not very good. It was great to see Sampson get hammered by the NCAA, but that does nothing to help us now or even next year. I hope that in two years I'll reread this blog and laugh at the troubled times and take comfort that we're back in the top 10. We play Chaminade tonight for 7th place at the Maui Invitational. Let's hope we get one win out there. Close out the holiday weekend back in Bloomington vs. Cornell. [Maui Invitational & ESPN & IUHoosiers.com & Cornell.edu]
Redskins - Giants this weekend in DC. We need this one. Let's hope we show up cause the Giants are a pretty good football team. The franchise, city, and fans will remember Sean Taylor this weekend...he was murdered a year ago Wednesday. His passing still affects many Redskins players and fans. [Washington Post]
Haven't been to the movies for a few weeks now. Still need to see Quantum of Solace, and we will. I've seen the previous two Transporter movies, and the 3rd installment is getting decent reviews (Ebert gave it 2 stars). Better than the Vince Vaughn/Reese Witherspoon Four Christmases, which is getting trashed. [IMDb.com & Rotten Tomatoes]

Interesting celestial sighting this weekend with Jupiter, Venus, and the moon. You won't even need binoculars. [Chicago Tribune]
Always weirds me out when I read about places that I've been having trouble. I've been through the Bangkok airport many times. Can't imagine being stuck there. [Time]
Seems Obama would like to keep his Blackberry, and I think that's a good idea. [The Swamp]
