It's playoff time in Chicago! The Cubs open vs. the LA Dodgers tonight in Game 1 of their National League Division Series. It's back-to-back trips to the postseason for the Cubbies for the first time in 100 years. They also have the best record in the National League for home field advantage. So how about a baseball inspired post?
I'll be on a Waveland rooftop tomorrow night for Game 2 with Phil Michaeloff and Jeff Hagerman. Jeff hooked us up! The game starts at 9:30 Indiana time, which is way too late. It could be a cold one as well. Here's a link to the building we'll be on, looks pretty sweet (click the photo link). I've never watched a game from a Wrigleyville roof, so it's a nice first for me at playoff time! I should be able to blog a bit with the iPhone from up there, so check out the site tomorrow night if you get a chance.
Here's the interesting history behind the "Go Cubs Go" song. [Chicago Tribune]
Who knows? This could determine a game in the playoffs...going into a base head first could be faster. [Wired]
Did you know the Cubs had a mascot named Joa? [Chicago Tribune]
 GO CUBS!
