Back to work this week...tough to leave Rowan and Brooke at home, but they seem to be getting along nicely. Rowan is such a joy to have around! Butsu is still trying to figure her out, which is also quite understandable. Rowan took her first walk this week with Brooke and Butsu. Butsu is a very easy walker, he doesn't pull and loves nothing more than to sniff the next light post for as long as he desires. So, it was a nice leisurely pace around the block. Good times!
Rowan will be happy to know that football season starts this weekend! I draft my fantasy football team tonight (the Sonic Death Monkey!) for the upcoming NFL season and IU kicks off their season tomorrow vs. Western Kentucky. She and I will be watching lots of football on Sundays, and I can already tell she is quite excited about it. Let's hope the Redskins can pull their heads out and have a good season. Seems NFL is alive and well in LA too, even without a team. [SpydeysWebb.com & Washington Post & LA Times]
As you've seen on the main page of SpydeysWebb, it's been a great summer for movies. As the summer season wraps up today, there's not much out there for new films. We would still like to see Pineapple Express. So far my top three from the summer were The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and WALL-E. Tropic Thunder and Forgetting Sarah Marshall were pretty good as well, and would wrap up my Top Five. Here's a scorecard for how the individual movie studios did. [LA Times & IMDb.com]
