A belated Happy Birthday to my mom! She turned the big...nope, not gonna put it in there. But her birthday was yesterday on the 19th. Hope you had a good one, mom. Love ya! Both parents in June and both are Gemini's.
Work continues at the house to prepare for Rowan's arrival. We'll be doing things in the bathroom and kitchen this week. Nothing particular to Rowan, just getting things done that need to be done.
Make sure you get your email in on the feed burner...nothing up updates on this blog will come to you. Works pretty well...
Here's something we're running up against as new parents, the childhood vaccine schedule issue. It's something new, I think. There's groups on both sides that say it does and doesn't do all the crazy stuff you may have heard, flaring up autism being the biggest. I think we're doing the drawn out schedule for Rowan. Along the lines of what Dr. Sears recommends. [CNN.com]

Not a big St. Louis fan here, great city but I hate the Cardinals. However, as I included last week, Busch Brewery is under a takeover bid by Belgian InBev. It won't be good times in St. Louis, or anywhere, if that great brewery falls out of Busch family hands (and also American hands). [Time.com]

Got this from Christian yesterday, Houston is considered the best city to live, work, and play. Of course, during the summer it's as hot as hell would be (I'd imagine). There's some other interesting ones on there too. Like Omaha, NE or Provo, UT. Unfortunately, I think they overlooked The Fort. [Yahoo! Finance]
Some updated info on getting a plaque placed at the former home of the Cubs. The group, Way Out in Left Field Society, is working hard to get this accomplished. The Cubs did all their World Series winning out there, not at Wrigley (yet). [MLB.com]
Surprise, surprise. I'm sure I can count on you all for my future success. I'll make sure to remember you at the top! [News Channel 3]
