 I too know very little about him and his  group. Interestingly, today (4/24) is the anniversary of the Students  for a Democratic Society taking over several buildings on the campus  of Columbia University. When I was born in 1970, my mom was afraid that my  initials (SDS) would come back to haunt me in the future due to this radical  organization. However, that hasn't been the case as I'm sure most people born  after 1970 are not aware of them or the Weathermen.
