IU won a national championship this weekend. It wasn't in basketball, that's for sure!
Angel Escobedo won the 125 pound class with a 10-3 win over Minnesota's Jayson Ness. It was IU's 3rd championship in that class in the last 4 years. Joe Dubuque won back-to-back titles in 2004 and 2005.
Escobedo finished the season 34-1.
Gotta love the Olympic sports! It's where IU makes the cut.
