The eating at Takashi's was amazing! The best we had during the whole trip. They really spoiled us. We had a little bit of everything in all the meals we had there: oden, yakisoba, miso soup, mikan, kaki, curry rice, sushi, and of course home grown rice. The Takayanagis have a very large garden and we had something freshly picked at every meal. Brooke even loved the natto and umeboshi, things I don't really care for or used to say "Da-may!" at. Meaning: no good!
Especially nice were the mikan (Japanese oranges) and kaki (persimmon) grown right outside the back door.
You see in the pictures one of the evening spreads and our sushi layout for the going away lunch. Fabulous!
