Museum day...

Tuesday was museum day on our tour through London. However, firstly there was a subway strike from Monday night through Tuesday. No subways to get around town and over 3 million Londoners trying to figure out how to get to work. It was a nightmare! The buses were packed like sardines and the queue (lines) for taxis were 50 people long.

Luckily we got on a decent bus to make to our first stop, the British Museum. Highlight there included the Rosetta Stone, remains of the Parthenon from Greece, mummies from Egypt, and very old relics from all over the world. The audio tour was very helpful on this tour.

After that it was on to the British Library. That's where our picture comes from. Highlights of the British Library include the Magna Carta, original Shakespeare manuscripts, Gutenberg bible, original Beatles lyric sheets, and other very old manuscripts. It was my first time there and very cool. We should have gone there last time we were in town Shlater!
