Again with the Friday the 13th? Another rough day for triskaidekaphobiacs. We'll have one more in November, and yes three is the most you can have in one calendar year. [Wikipedia]
Rowan's teeth are really breaking through this week. Her first top one popped through last night before bed and she wasn't too happy about it! I can't imagine what that feels like and then not be able to really complain about it. Like she tells me sometimes, it's tough to be a little kid. By this time next week, she'll be 7 months old. Wow.
The IU men's basketball season ended yesterday and I was happy for that. It was time to end so we can begin toward next season. As Depune said this week, only 7 months! After this season, it can only get better! The women's team will be waiting for a call to the NCAA tounament on Sunday. They are firmly on the bubble for their Dance and if they don't get in they should go to the NIT. The NCAA Square Pool is in full motion. We have 9 squares left and I anticipate them being gone very early next week. The Bracket Pool will start on Monday morning with the tournament tipping off on Thursday at noon. Let the Madness begin, even for your iPhone! [SpydeysWebb.com & Brandweek]
Big FAIL on seeing Watchmen this week. My buddy Travis had a work emergency on Thursday and I failed to turn to Zach for movie companionship. Therefore, I haven't seen it yet. I did my best to avoid reviews and news on the movie, but that's hard for me to do! It hasn't gotten the business some were expecting, but it is a 'comic book' movie that's very quite violent. That'd be a tough sell for most moviegoers. With the tournament kicking off next week, I'll need to get to the theaters before Thursday or it could be awhile...[IMDb.com & LA Times]
Only 24 days until Opening Day for the Cubbies. I haven't forgotten their monumental collapse from October, but I'm getting a little excited for baseball season. On to...

The Spring Basho for Sumo kicks off this weekend in Osaka. If interested, you can keep up with the tournament's goings on at the official Sumo Kyokai site. Don't worry, it's in English! Also, in Osaka this week, KFC's Colonel Sanders arose from the depths. [Japan Times]
Social networking sites have overtaken email in computer time, and why not? Most social networking sites have their own email there, so you can do both at the same time. [Medaiweek]
I guess here's one way to save the economy. ; ) [Time]
Maybe on account of that story, research at IU is looking at sleeping patterns. [IU News Room]
