Winter is here! It's cold outside and staying that way. Don't think we've been above the freezing line all week and now more snow tonight and through tomorrow. It is January.
Rowan has recovered from her first ear infection. We got a clean bill of health this week and she got her 4 month shots as well. We were happy, Rowan was less than happy. Who wouldn't be after shots!?! She came through just fine though and by the time I got home she was her smiling bubbly self. She's really digging the exersaucer we borrowed from Tiffany. She's getting the hang of it.
NFL Divisional Playoffs this weekend...no Redskins, Colts, or Bears. I'm not sure the readers of this blog will care as much, but it is playoff football. My prediction: all home teams win. The only one I see that could be an upset would be Baltimore over Tennessee. I just think the week off really helps these teams...being at home doesn't hurt.
The basketball struggles continue for the Indiana Hoosiers. The blew their second straight 20 point lead at home losing to Michigan at home for the first time since I was in Japan (1995)! Many, many chances to win that game, but we blew it. The upcoming home schedule will see me in the stands more and more. I'll miss Iowa on the 17th, but plan on being there for Minnesota on the 25th and Ohio State on the 31st.
I think we'll see a movie next week, finally! My pick: Slumdog Millionaire. So you saw it here first that I was going to see it BEFORE it won a Golden Globe on Sunday night. Not sure what kind of predictions for the Oscars the Globes are going to make, but the race is on for the golden statue. Might need to prepare for some more 'happy' movies to help us through these troubling economic times! [IMDb.com & Wall Street Journal]
