Friday March 20th

Spring is in the air! Do I have to start planning my new mowing patterns? That pic of Rowan's an 'oldie' from around the New Year. Still a good one.

The NCAA Tournament is in full swing. Brooke took her first square win ever yesterday in Purdue's win. Not many upsets to far, which makes the brackets a little messed up. Guess you could have just gone chalk and been fine. Rowan was tied for first half way through the first round, but her North Dakota State upset didn't happen Friday afternoon, so that could hurt.

Finally went to see Watchmen this week with a few friends. Of course, Travis was there. We've seen a lot of comic book movies together, so this was the continuation of that. We enjoyed the movie, but only because we'd read the graphic novel it's based on. The others in the group, who hadn't read the book, we're not as pleased. The full review is up on the main page. Lot's of new movies coming out that look decent: I Love You, Man and Julia Roberts' new one Duplicity start this weekend. Brooke wants to see Duplicity, at least she said she did. We'll have to see about that one! I think I Love You, Man looks pretty funny. Always up for a laugh...Coming soon are Wolverine and Star Trek. Travis will be back in town! [IMDb.com]

17 days until Opening Day and 30 days until Cubs/Cards on Sunday night baseball with us in the crowd. Another number is going on the foul poles this year at Wrigley, #31. There's also some changes happening down the first base line outside the park and other news from the Cubbie's president. [Chicago Tribune]

This week's News Quiz. And a bonus St. Patrick's Day Quiz. [Chicago Tribune]
