We've been home now for almost 2 days. It's been nice being home and getting Rowan familiar with it. I will say the first night was rough. Very rough! We got in around 11:30PM and she finally laid down for a bit at, oh, 7AM. We'd each gotten about a 30 minute nap that day, so we were hurting.
Rowan definitely let us know who was in charge! Over the last day we've figured out some things we were doing wrong and she's gotten used to her new environment. So it's been better. Helped last night to have Grandma Jeanne stay the night with us. Grandma Brenda will be here tonight. Gotta love having family so close.
Rowan watched her first Cubbie game in the hospital on Tuesday night, a 5-0 victory. It was close until the 8th inning, then when we got to the 1 day old mark, the Cubs broke it open for the final score. She really enjoyed it! I have to say it was nice to have the Olympics during our 2 days in the hospital. Any time of the day there was something to watch, very cool. I think Rowan may be a volleyball, baseketball, or even a handball player!
Thanks to everyone for their kind emails, thoughts, and prayers. We're getting the hang of this thing!
